Who we are
Old Boy Design ("we," "us"), based at 15 Rue de Crimée, 78800 Houilles, France, is the data controller for the personal data collected through oldboydesign.com. For any question, write to support@oldboydesign.com.
Data we collect
Neither the contact form nor checkout on this site transmits anything to us automatically — see "The contact form" and "The checkout" below. What we actually collect and hold is the personal data you send us directly, by email or by phone: name, email address, phone number, postal / billing address, and whatever you tell us about your project. We don't collect data from third parties, and we don't buy, rent, or sell personal data.
The contact form
Filling in the contact form on the Contact page prepares your enquiry and gives you a reference number, which is saved only in your own browser's local storage, on your own device — it is not sent to any server and Old Boy Design never receives or sees it. It stays under your control: clearing your browser's storage, or opening the site in a different browser or device, removes it completely. If you want us to see your enquiry, email support@oldboydesign.com or call +33 6 18 04 27 83 and mention your reference — that direct message is what we actually receive and act on.
The checkout
Completing checkout — contact details, billing address, project details, and payment — prepares your order and gives you a reference number, saved only in your own browser's local storage, on your own device. Payment runs through a mocked test adapter: no card details are ever transmitted anywhere or stored by this site. The order itself is not sent to any server either, and Old Boy Design never receives or sees it automatically. It stays under your control: clearing your browser's storage, or checking out from a different browser or device, removes it completely. To have us receive your order, schedule the work, and issue an invoice, email support@oldboydesign.com or call +33 6 18 04 27 83 and mention your reference — that direct message is what we actually receive and act on.
Why we collect it
We use the data you send us directly, by email or phone, to reply to your enquiry and — when you contact us with an order reference — to confirm and schedule the project, deliver the service, and issue an invoice. Data you enter during checkout that stays on your device (see "The checkout" above) is never used by us for anything, because we never receive it unless you send it to us yourself.
Legal bases
Contract performance — once you've contacted us with an order reference, confirming and delivering the service you purchased and issuing an invoice. Legitimate interest — replying to an enquiry or order reference you send us directly by email or phone. Consent — non-essential analytics cookies are set only after you actively opt in through the cookie banner.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and order references sent to us directly by email or phone: kept for up to 3 years from your last contact with us, then deleted, except invoicing data, which we keep for 10 years as required under Article L123-22 of the French Commercial Code. (Neither the contact form nor checkout sends us anything to retain on their own — see "The contact form" and "The checkout" above — so we hold none of that data unless and until you send it to us directly.) Analytics data (where you've consented): kept for up to 14 months per CNIL guidance, then anonymised or deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to support@oldboydesign.com — we reply within one month, as the law requires. If you believe your rights aren't being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés) at www.cnil.fr.
Security
Data submitted through this site is transmitted over HTTPS. Checkout runs on a mocked payment adapter: no payment card data is ever stored or transmitted, and the order itself is saved only on your device, not sent to any server (see "The checkout" above). We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data we do hold.
